The SEEA WISE program is a part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s BetterBuildings Program, and combines the efforts of the DOE and eight states in the SEEA region, along with local governments to raise awareness and educate citizens about energy efficiency (EE) building upgrades in their communities.

By encouraging communities, state and local governments, private-sector companies, and non-profit organizations to work together, WISE has a goal of creating unique and pioneering programs that drive investments in energy efficiency improvements across the Southeastern United States.

The WISE Program also shares best practices and leverages a common approach to program structure, marketing & communications, evaluation, and data-sharing. By establishing this framework for energy efficiency improvement programs, WISE will create a model for replication across the Southeast and beyond.
